From the folder your AI assistant made to an address anyone can open: what happens at each step and what you need to do.
Turn Your Project Folder Into a Zip File
A zip file packs a folder and everything inside it into one single file. You send us your project as that one file.
- Windows: Right-click the project folder; on Windows 11 choose "Compress to › ZIP file", on Windows 10 choose "Send to › Compressed (zipped) folder".
- Mac: Right-click the project folder (or Control-click it) and choose "Compress".
- Or: Tell your AI assistant "Make a zip file of this project so I can upload it".
Which folder? The whole project folder you worked in with your assistant. It usually contains files such as
package.jsonorindex.html. The zip can be up to 50 MB.You don't need to clean it up first. When you upload, we remove what a server doesn't need: large library folders such as
node_modules(reinstalled when you publish), tool folders such as.git, and password files such as.env(never stored). If your zip is over 50 MB, delete thenode_modulesfolder and zip it again.Upload and Read the Result
You drag and drop the zip file. Your project is only read, never run, and you get a plain-language result:
- What your project is: a simple site, or an app that saves information.
- How many files there are and how much space the zip takes once unpacked.
- Any problems that would stop publishing, and warnings worth your attention.
Fix It With Your Assistant if Needed
If there is a problem, we explain it in plain language. Paste that text into your AI assistant as is; it makes the fix, and you zip and upload again.
If a problem blocks publishing, the project stays offline until it is fixed. Warnings don't stop you.
Publish a Simple Site
A simple site opens at
your-project.aitoapp.comas soon as it passes the check. A new version replaces the old one as soon as it goes live, and the old one is deleted. To go back, upload the earlier zip again, so keep your zips.Publish an App That Saves Information
If your app needs settings such as passwords or keys, enter them with the environment variables button on its card; they are stored encrypted and never shown again. When it publishes:
- If needed, a database is set up on the first publish and connected to your app automatically.
- Your app runs in its own closed space, separate from other projects.
- A permanent folder is set aside for files your users upload, so they are not deleted when you update.
- You can follow what happens in the logs section on the app's card.
If a publish fails, the version that is already online keeps running.
Connect Your Own Domain
On the Standard and Enterprise plans you can connect a domain like mysite.com to your site. All it takes is two records in the dashboard of the company you bought the domain from.
